Shinwa Jidai no Saikyou Kenja – Ch. 2

The Healing Hero, Trampling Over the Examiner

2,000 years ago, I vanquished the Demon Lord as the Sage Sirius Dions.

The subjugation party, which didn’t have the healing hero, was wiped out, living me alone. If, by chance, I was a hero, then it was possible that I was the only one to die.

But… I wasn’t the hero.

The only thing I could do as a sage was destruction.

The me who was in a predicament and in the verge of death, using my own life and the corpses of the subjugation team, unleashed a disaster-class magic.

A forbidden art where I treated the earth’s, sky’s, sea’s, and space’s magic powers as if they were my own.

As a result, the Devil Lord was vanquished, and the world lost 90% of its’ humans.

If only the healing hero was present, then I could have saved the world in a better way.

And thus, I made a wish.

If I reincarnate, then I’ll become the next healing hero–

–It seems that the conditions are fulfilled, and my wish has come true.

“Uooohhh!!!”

The sensation that every cell within me is activated, and limitless magic power gushes through. At the same time, the memories of when I was Sirius are unlocked in one breath.

The 15 years I have lived as Kite Arnoel in this world is not forgotten, but fused together as one.

The condition to reincarnate as a healing hero: To know pain suitable enough as a healing hero.

And as for the “pain”, it’s not only physical pain, but also mental pain as well.

Perhaps, it was to fulfill the condition that I had lost my parents, had limited abilities, and was hated by Kars-sensei.

But, the deal is done.

From today onwards, I’ll live my second life as Kite.

With the knowledge of a sage, and the ability of the healing hero.

First, I shall heal my wounds with simple healing magic.

The painful wounds are healed in the blink of an eye, and along with it gone were the pains.

Since it was only a simple healing spell, it doesn’t recover the already used magic power.

“Wha… The, the injuries are… all healed!?”

Kars exclaimed in astonishment.

“Is this something to be so surprised at? Even though this is something that everyone, even those without any special magical power can do.”

2,000 years ago, offensive magicians used this kind of healing magic normally. The more surprising ones are those whose magic activated in the moment they entered the dying stage.

Well, as I remember all of my original abilities, Kars’ ability is actually surprisingly low. There’s no way he could be called a wizard. He’s at the level of an amateur. If you’re an amateur, it can’t be helped if you don’t know about it.

I cast a pitiful gaze towards Kars.

“Just like this, I’m returning to my full health. Is your real ability only this much, professor Kars?”

“You… You damned brat!”

Kars, whose blood went to his head, kept on making ice spears one after the other, and pour it all down on me. It’s the same magic as before.

The amount increased from last time too. This time there’s about 50 of them.

A compound spell of “Create Ice Spear” and “Wind Rain”, I see. An old-fashioned spell, or a spell with bad efficiency. This kind of spell was used by beginners who couldn’t use intermediate or higher level magic.

It’s slow and low-powered.

50, 100, or even if there’s 1,000 of them, you can easily deal with this spell.

“Slow. I’ll see you what real magic looks like.”

After ensuring Kars’ offensive magic was fired, I started my own magic.

“Burst Ice Rain.”

An ice spear forms on top of my head, and fires as it splits up.

Let’s set the number of spear to 50 as an answer to Kars.

The spears intercept Kars’ magic one by one.

I shot every single one of them down.

“W, w, wh, what…!? Are you a monster!?”

…It’s too null. (……あまりにもヌルすぎる。)

It’s no fun to continue this fight as it is. I picked up the sword that fell at my feet.

I kicked the ground vigorously and jump towards Kars.

“This movement speed… I’ve never seen this magic before!”

Well, no shit. As to the reason why…

“This isn’t even magic. I’m just jumping towards you.”

While saying so, I struck Kars’ neck with my sword. He loses consciousness in an instant and collapses on the spot.

Silence spread along the spectating students for a while.

“Uoooh! Kite won against Professor Kars!”

“I can’t believe this! What just happened!?”

”Kars has been defeated! Kite won!”

The excitement is piling up.

It’s becoming like a festival.

In the midst of all that, my childhood friend sisters–Remilia and Miina– came rushing forward.

The elder sister Remilia is a blue-eyed blonde with big breasts. She’s easily worried.

The little sister Miina is a blue-eyed, silver haired, big breasted girl. She has a rough temper.

Both are faultless beauties.

Why their hair color is different although they are twins is beyond me.

“I was wondering what would happen earlier! Are you alright? I saw Professor Kars’ magic struck your chest, but…”

“Don’t worry. The wound was shallow, and I’m healing up just like this.”

Well, even though it was shallow, I was actually dying… Seems like Remilia will be extremely worried if I answer honestly, so let’s keep it in moderation.

“It certainly looks like you’re alright…”

“Miina, I never worried for a bit that Kite might be defeated. …I was planning on helping and killing Kars before you died. What trick did you use?”

She said something dangerous with a serious look.

Since a long time ago Miina has always been a bit exaggerated when it comes to me.

I want to reassure them, but I want to keep the reincarnation thingy a secret for now. Even though he’s lived 15 years in this era, not even once has he tried to find out about reincarnation. Perhaps that topic is taboo for some reason.

“At first it was a bit of a struggle, but all the effort finally paid off today. There’s a point where everything just connected, wasn’t there?”

“…Was there such a thing?”

For some reason I’m being gazed at with suspicious eyes.

Seems like it’s a bit too forceful. Let’s divert the topic.

“Well, don’t worry about the small things. More importantly, this counts as passing the graduation exam, isn’t it? He was really weak though. You should put someone stronger as an examiner.”

“…Right now, what did you just?”

Miina tilts her head. The suspicion grew stronger.

I didn’t do anything wrong, though…

“I mean, not such a weak wizard, but a stronger one…”

“Even if he’s conceited, he’s the strongest in the academy. He was the main wizard of the royal knights, so I don’t think there’s anyone stronger than him in the school…”

“Uh… Is that so? Ah- of course he was, just like you said!”

Crap. It seems like when the memories were fused there were some part that was lost.

At this point, I’m not sure what I forgot or what I remember.

However, as earlier conversation shows, it seems like there’s a high chance that the part regarding “common sense” has been lost.
